User-centred design decisions

I decided to create some personas for my website as members of the participatory collective so the user has some idea about who is behind the story and would be more willing to help them.

I made sure that people with accessibility needs/concerns can access my website with no problems. I did this by choosing a font that was easy to read, only black and white font, splitting text up so its not just a block of text, and using darker and lighter shades of one colour so the colour contrasts the text colour and so that the user won’t get bored of the website. I also made the navigation system easy to use and kept it the same as most other websites so that if someone was partially sighted/blind, they would know where to find how to scroll through the pages.

I used an inclusive tone whenever I wrote text, so my users wouldn’t feel left out/hurt by anything I said and I only used appropriate language as not to offend anyone who reads my site.
