Research and Referenced Images

This is one of the images that I used to create my own background. The colour scheme matches what I was going for, and it has the black splotches which was also what I needed for my background. I also had the vision to add stars to my background so this image really helped me to create my background.

This was the other image I referenced in my background. I liked how the image has jagged lines running across it so decided to do something similar with my design. I didn’t want to copy this image exactly so I used straight black lines to create accents and shapes rather than do what this image is showing.

This is the last image I used for reference for my background. It had the colour scheme I needed, it has stars which I also wanted and the general vibe of this image helped me make my background what it is. By mixing these three images together, you kind of get my background which makes sense as I did reference them. I like all these images individually and by mixing them I came up with my own creation.

For my research, I used wikipedia and the festivals actual website to get a lot of the details for my website and mobile companion app designs. This is one of the links I used to gather the contact details for the festival – https://punkrockbowling.com/contact/ . I feel like this was necessary on a festival mobile app/website as many people may get confused on how to buy tickets and don’t know how to work the app/website and other general things. So I added contacts to make it a bit easier for the user to find their way around.

To get a list of bands for my design, I used this link to get some idea of who was performing at this festival and add some acts to my design so the user can see if the festival is their vibe – https://punkrockbowling.com/festival-bands/ .

To get the dates for the festival I followed this link – https://punkrockbowling.com/festival-info/about-punk-rock-bowling/ , I was unsure of the actual dates on this festival as it is held in the USA every year so I used the link to make sure they were correct. I also used this link to find out when the festival was founded as I was also unsure of that.
